Overview
ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive Addis Ababa:
Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. If time permits, explore the city with a tour of Trinity Cathedral, the National Museum, Entoto Panoramic View, and Merkato, Africa’s largest open market.

Day 2: Addis Ababa - Axum (Old Jewish Activities):
After an early breakfast, fly to Axum, a once-powerful civilization. Visit Axum’s stele, tombs, the Church of St. Mary of Zion (housing the original Ark of the Covenant), the ruins of Queen Sheba’s palace, and the archaeological museum.

Day 3: Axum - Lalibela:
Transfer to the airport and fly to Lalibela to explore the 11 Rock-hewn churches, a UNESCO World Heritage site, built by King Lalibela in the 12th century.

Day 4: Lalibela - Gondar (Black Jewish Village "Weleka"):
Fly to Gondar, then drive to the former black Jewish village, Weleka. Explore the remnants of their life, including the synagogue. Return to Gondar for a city tour of the 17th-century imperial enclosure castles, Fasiledes’ swimming pool, and Debre Berhan Silassie Church.

Day 5: Gondar - Bahir Dar:
Drive to Bahir Dar, passing through the plain land of Woreta. After lunch, take a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the 14th-century monasteries of Ura Kidane Meheret and Kibran Gabriel. If time allows, visit the Blue Nile Falls, known as “Tiss Issat” or the “fire that smokes.”

Day 6: Bahir Dar - Debrezeith:
Fly back to Addis Ababa and drive to Debre Zeit. Enjoy leisure time at Kuriftu Resort and Spa, including a Swedish massage, manicure, pedicure, and other entertaining activities.

Day 7: Debrezeith - Bale:
Drive to Bale through Arsi plateau, visiting the Arsi tribe’s culture along the way. Explore Bale National Park, home to wildlife such as Mountain Nyala, bushback, and gazelle.

Day 8: Bale - Awash National Park:
Drive to Awash National Park through Arsi farmland. Have a stopover at Beseka Crater Lake, the western end of Awash National Park, known for its water birds.

Day 9: Awash - Harar:
Drive to Harar, the 16th-century walled Islamic city. In the evening, witness the ‘Hyena Man’ feeding hyenas by hand and mouth.

Day 10: Harar - Addis:
Drive back to Addis, passing by the rift valley lakes’ cities of Methara, Nazreth, and Debrezeit. Arrive in Addis for last-minute shopping. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner party at a traditional restaurant before transferring to the airport for your return flight.
