Experience the thrill of a 04 day Rwanda gorilla and golden monkey trekking safari amidst the natural wonders of Volcanoes National Park. This adventure takes you through picturesque rural landscapes to encounter endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys in their natural habitats. Beginning in the urban charm of Kigali, the safari leads you to Musanze, a village home to diverse primate species, vibrant birdlife, and other wildlife.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival to Kigali

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, our safari driver will warmly welcome you, provide a brief overview, and transfer you to your chosen accommodation.

Accommodation: Chez Lando Hotel or Similar (D)

Start your day with breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a city tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Ground, a poignant tribute to the 1994 genocide victims. Afterwards, travel to Musanze near Volcanoes National Park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Accommodation: Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge or Similar (BLD)

Begin your day with a cup of coffee, followed by a briefing at the park headquarters for your gorilla trek. Enter the jungle with a packed lunch to witness the lives of shy mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Spend an hour observing these great apes and capturing moments. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy a relaxed afternoon overlooking the volcanoes.

After an early breakfast, our driver-guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a golden monkey trek. This less strenuous experience allows you to search for these shy primates in the jungle. Return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to Kigali for your evening flight or an additional overnight stay.
