ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – City Tour – Transfer to Akagera National Park
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our team and transferred to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, take the opportunity to explore Kigali, including visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and the old city.

Day 2: Akagera National Park Safari
After an early breakfast, embark on a picturesque drive to Akagera National Park. Spend the day on a thrilling game drive, spotting Giraffes, Buffaloes, Elephants, and a variety of bird species. Keep an eye out for the elusive Shoebill Stork. Stay overnight at Akagera Game Lodge or a similar lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Start your day with a boat trip on Lake Ihema, observing crocodiles, hippos, and diverse birdlife. Later, journey to Volcanoes National Park with a lunch stop in Kigali. Enjoy the scenic drive through Rwanda’s beautiful landscapes. Check in at Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge or a similar lodge.

Day 4: Mount Bisoke Hiking Adventure
Receive a briefing from the park ranger before embarking on a thrilling hike up Mount Bisoke. Witness the stunning Crater Lake at the summit. The hike typically takes 5-7 hours, depending on your group’s pace. Return to Musanze for another night at Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge or a similar lodge.

Day 5: Cultural Experience & Lake Kivu Relaxation
Explore the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, immersing yourself in traditional performances and local culture. Visit the red rocks to witness banana beer production. In the afternoon, drive to Lake Kivu for relaxation at the beach.

Day 6: Lake Kivu Exploration – Transfer to Kigali and Departure
Enjoy a morning boat ride on Lake Kivu, exploring its islands and diverse bird species. Later, return to Kigali with an optional visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Ground. Finally, transfer to the airport for your departure flight. BL
