ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – City Tour – Transfer to Akagera National Park

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our team and transferred to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, take the opportunity to explore Kigali, including visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and the old city.

After an early breakfast, embark on a picturesque drive to Akagera National Park. Spend the day on a thrilling game drive, spotting Giraffes, Buffaloes, Elephants, and a variety of bird species. Receive a briefing from the park ranger before embarking on a thrilling hike up Mount Bisoke. Witness the stunning Crater Lake at the summit. The hike typically takes 5-7 hours, depending on your group’s pace. Return to Musanze for another night at Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge or a similar lodge.

Explore the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, immersing yourself in traditional performances and local culture. Visit the red rocks to witness banana beer production. In the afternoon, drive to Lake Kivu for relaxation at the beach.
