ITINERARY
Day 1: Arival Kigali – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon your early morning arrival, our guide will greet you at the airport and provide a comprehensive tour briefing. Embark on a city exploration of Kigali, beginning with a visit to the poignant Gisozi genocide memorial site, offering profound insights into the events of 1994, which tragically claimed the lives of over 300,000 people. Discover other highlights of Kigali, including bustling local markets and the historic king’s palace, before pausing for lunch. Following this, enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park, traversing Rwanda’s picturesque mountainous landscapes that epitomize the country’s reputation as the “Land of a Thousand Hills.”

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Iby’iwacu Cultural Village Tour
After breakfast, it’s time for the highlight of your trip: gorilla tracking in Rwanda. We arrive at the Kinigi park headquarters in Musanze at 7:00 am for a briefing by the head park guide. Your assigned gorilla family will be based on your fitness level. Don’t forget to hire a porter before setting off into the forest for an exhilarating gorilla tracking adventure. The trek can be challenging, but encountering mountain gorillas is incredibly rewarding. Observe their behavior, especially the playful antics of the young gorillas, and remember to follow your guide’s instructions, stay calm, and avoid sudden movements. After spending an unforgettable hours with the mountain gorillas, return to the starting point where your guide will be waiting. You’ll then be driven back to your hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you can visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village near Volcanoes National Park in Musanze.

Day 3: Return to Kigali
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as you prepare to depart back to Kigali. The driver will drop you off at your hotel or the airport for your return home. If you missed the city tour on day 1, it can be arranged on this day before your departure.
